Let’s Get To Know What Mothers Should Do When They Have Their First Baby

The word “pregnancy” refers to the period of growth and development of the human baby in the womb and is frequently used to describe the development of a fetus in a woman’s womb. A prospective mother typically carries one pregnancy in her womb and gives birth to one child, but it is possible for her to become pregnant and have two or more children. Multiple pregnancy is the term for this situation.

About 38 weeks after conception, the fetus develops inside the mother’s womb before being born. Calculating 40 weeks following the last menstrual period yields the expected birthdate of the fetus (in women who have menstrual cycles of four weeks apart).

Pregnancy is a moment that is eagerly anticipated by the majority of women. Women will therefore attempt to handle it when the time comes. There are a few things you should keep in mind in order for your pregnancy to proceed as well as possible. Check out the following six pregnancy-related activities:

·        Have A Good Rest

The mother needs enough sleep to maintain her health throughout the pregnancy. Pregnant women are advised to nap for 1-3 hours in addition to getting 8 hours of sleep at night to replenish their energy levels after a day of activities. Avoid staying up late throughout pregnancy as much as you can. This is due to the fact that a late-night habit might raise the risk of developing a number of health issues during pregnancy, including anemia, high blood pressure, and difficulty during childbirth.

·        Pay Attention to Diet

Pregnant women are advised to take a nutritious diet that is both comprehensive and balanced in order to ensure the health of both the mother and the fetus. Additionally, increase the number of calories you consume each day, at least 300 in the first trimester, 350 in the second, and 450 in the third trimester.

·        Exercise Routine

Exercise during pregnancy is not only beneficial for the mother’s health, but it can also speed up the labour process. Therefore, it is advisable that pregnant women continue to engage in gentle exercise for at least 30 minutes each day of the week.

·        Maintain Good Oral Hygiene

According to a study in the journal Obstetrics and Gynecology, pregnant women with gum infections run the risk of passing the infection on to their unborn children through the placental circulation. To prevent this, mothers need to maintain dental hygiene by:

o   Brush your teeth regularly 2 times a day using a soft brush. Use a mouthwash that does not contain alcohol 2 times a day after brushing your teeth.

o   To clean the remaining food stuck between the teeth, use dental floss to clean it.

o   Clean the tongue area to reduce bacterial growth.

o   Expand to eat foods that contain vitamins B12 and C to strengthen the gums and reduce bleeding.

o   Routine dental and oral health checks to the doctor at least 1 time during pregnancy.
